The Pirastro Flat Chrome Steel string set is specially designed for double bass and delivers a particularly clear and brilliant sound. Thanks to the braided carbon steel core with a chrome steel winding, these strings offer excellent projection and fast response. They are instantly playable and remain stable, ideal for orchestral and solo playing. However, they do require precise bowing technique to realise their full potential. Suitable for double basses in 3/4 size and available in medium thickness.
