The Moog Sound Studio 1: What's in the Box?

Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. Next to the Mother-32 and the DFAM synthesizers, the Sound Studio 1 bundle includes a small mixer that doubles as a power hub, as well as a patch-cable organiser and a booklet containing patching instructions. As we've already mentioned, you also get a decorative collection of inspirational cardboard figures, which includes a UFO, a cat, a cactus, a plant, a robot, a caterpillar, a pair of dice, a screwdriver and a colourful basket. We're guessing the Beatles had a similar sense of humour when they released their Yellow Submarine record with its cartoony cover art.

Professional Synths

This pack has definitely been curated to demystify the pure magic that is synthesis. The two desktop modules each provide a bank of patch gates that have been labelled so you can quickly figure out which route will shape what sound. As such, this is essentially an educational synth setup. Every control element is clean; clearly marked with its respective function and the cockpits have been cleared of any over-thought menus and parameters. When it comes to sound, you're getting the full Moog experience, so expect fat analogue output and potent sonic shaping and sequencing from the Mother-32 supported by the solid drum synthesis and rhythmic pattern building offered by the DFAM. In short, kids aged 5 to 100 years old will find themselves walking the aisles of an immense psychedelic sweety shop stacked with tasty sonic treats.
