Planar Drivers: Hear the Difference

The power of the Planar the II headphones lies in the unique Planar drivers, which feature traditional moving coils and a magnetic field generated by a matrix of neodymium magnets that push and pull the elastic driver at the same time. This means that the extremely thin and ultra-light diaphragm undulates symmetrically across its entire surface, resulting in broad sound, absolutely minimal harmonic distortion and hyper-fast response. The audio also has a more natural feel to it when compared to headphone drivers fitted with a single dynamic magnet that simply pushes.

Deep-Thought Headphones

Besides being lighter than the first-gen editions, these headphones have also been furnished with improved over-ear cushions that remain comfortable for longer. The open design, meanwhile, supports a more organic audio response and tempers the frequency curve to prevent bass frequencies from taking over, making it feel like you're sitting and listening to a set of studio monitors.
