The Presonus Eris E8 active studio monitors are a tonal powerhouse that are capable of reproducing a broad frequency range, perfect for larger music or sound productions. While Hi-fi speakers are capable of producing similar (or even lower) frequencies, they are primarily designed for use at home and as such, the sole focus is on great sound. Studio monitors on the other hand give you a pure, faithful sound without any colouration. This is what you get from the Eris E8: a natural sound with plenty of volume.

Characteristics

The Eris E8 delivers a frequency range of 35 Hz to 22 kHz. The bottom 35 Hz make these monitors particularly interesting when working on larger or heavier projects. For comparison's sake, 35 Hz is roughly the same as a D-1, with C-4 being the middle C on a piano. E-2 is the low E on a guitar and E-1 is the low E on a bass guitar or double bass. This frequency range makes the E8 an ideal speaker for mixing orchestral music. Genres like dance, house and other musical styles with deep bass will also find the Eris E8 a real advantage when it comes to mixing.
