General

The 2-way bass-reflex system studio monitor is known as a near-field monitor. That means it is especially suitable for mixing and mastering applications. With a 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, this versatile HS7I monitor offers a neutral frequency response and the possibility to optimise the tonal characteristics of the sound based on the acoustic properties of the room.

Handy Mounting Options

This monitor is also equipped with 4 mounting points. During the development of the HSI series, Yamaha took their fans' requests for a more versatile mounting solution into account and equipped each monitor with pre-drilled mounting points and screws. This option opens up all kinds of possibilities for commercial applications and smaller studio and editing rooms in particular, where the placement of a set of studio monitors is certainly a challenge!

Connection Options and Controls

On all the HSI models, you'll find a balanced XLR input you can use to connect to your mixer or audio interface and a balanced/unbalanced TRS/jack input. You can also use the Room Control switch on the HS7I to optimise the sound depending on the acoustic characteristics of the room. For example, if the low frequencies are extremely low due to close placement to a wall, you can adjust the sound accordingly. With this function, you can of course also tweak the high frequencies to perfection. Last but not least, this stylish white HS7I monitor also features a level control for adjusting the volume.

I have been purchasing audio equipment from Bax Shop for several years, unbeatable price and fast delivery. As for the Yamaha HS 7 I wouldn't say much. You can see them in almost all recording studios. I also own a pair of KRK 7s, but I think the HS 7s are more honest in terms of sound.
