U2, Ultravox and will.i.am are just a few of the acts who’ve embraced the MicroBrute phenomenon. This analogue Arturia synth may have moderate dimensions, but its sound is quite grand. With the MicroBrute, Arturia - a company renowned for its high-quality software and virtual synthesizers - introduced a fully analogue synth, which is now available as a limited orange edition. Collectors, take note! Thanks to its distinctive colour, the Arturia MicroBrute SE Orange Ltd analogue synth is a stylish statement on stage or in your studio.
The possibilities of the Arturia MicroBrute SE Orange Ltd analogue synthesizer
The MicroBrute is a monophonic synthesizer with a subtractive character, which enables you to choose between various waveforms, including sawtooth, square/pulse, overtone and triangle. Each oscillator has an additional unique, adjustable signal enhancer, such as PWM for the square oscillator and UltraSaw for the sawtooth waveforms. This elaborate range of oscillator options is followed up with a Steiner-Parker multimode filter whith LP, BP and HP modes that enable you to adjust the timbre of your synthesized sounds.
Additional possibilities
The fun really starts with the MicroBrute’s modulation matrix, which is operated by means of cables, just like in the old days. The modulation matrix allows you to link the envelope and LFO to parameters such as pitch, filter and the special oscillator functions. An audio input is also at your disposal, so it’s possible to import external signals and use the synthesizer to process them. As a bonus, the limited edition MicroBrute SE comes with a number of stackable patch cables, which allow you to send a signal to several destinations. The icing on the cake is the MicroBrute’s step sequencer. Combined with the CV output you can use it to control vintage synthesizers (provided they support CV).
