General

The YTS-280S is a tenor saxophone from Yamaha, made for students. On this model, you can learn to handle the saxophone, get a good sound out of it and develop different playing styles. The "neck receiver" is designed to get a good response and makes for a durable mechanism. An improved mechanism makes it easier to reach the low B which is sometimes quite difficult to play. All Yamaha saxophones have an adjustable thumb rest, simply because a comfortable hand position is incredibly important for playing, whether you like short or long playing sessions. The model has two extra valves, the high F# and the front F, which is crucial in certain situations.
