Ik heb van alle 5 toms van m'n kit (birch) de oudere 2-ply's weer vervangen door Ambassadors, ook omdat ik meer attack wilde horen.
Warmer, meer punch/attack, langere sustain en prachtige sound. Blij!
(Aquarian heads zijn wel even netter en strakker afgewerkt maar zogauw je de rim erop zet is dat verschil niet meer zichtbaar, en hoorbaar is dat al helemaal niet.)
Heb je een goede ketel dan kun je niet fout gaan met een Ambassador. ;-)

Zeer goed vel. Mooi afgewerkt zoals altijd bij Remo. Klinkt heel goed. Ideaal voor popmuziek. Het vel heeft genoeg punch/attack en power maar heeft ook een redelijk lange sustain. Deze vellen klinken ten opzichte van de (gewone Ambassador) clear vellen wat 'warmer'.

Prima vel voor een classic sound. Rijk aan boventonen. Goede kwaliteit zoals je van Remo verwacht. Zodra het vel te oud wordt houd je alleen de boventonen over, dan klinkt het niet meer mooi en moet hij echt weer vervangen worden.

en remplacement de la peau d'origine de ma gretsch energy, grosse amélioration du son, beaucoup rond, pas du tout plastique comme l'origine, facile à accorder, j'ai toujours la peau de réso d'origine mais j'ai déjà un meilleur son rien qu'avec cette peau en frappe. en plus j'aime le look des peaux sablées donc c'est nickel. de toute façon c'est un grand classique donc pas trop de risque à tester.
