When you remove the Pearl BT-3 tom mount from your tom – for instance, to replace it with an ISS or OptiMount system – you're left with a hole in the shell. This is not just unsightly, it also influences the acoustic properties of the drum. In that case, use the Pearl GK-90 masking plate to cover up the hole.
