The Pearl OPT-1516 is part of Pearl's OptiMount mounting system. This clever system allows your toms to resonate more freely, thus providing better tone and sustain., by attaching to your tom's tension rods and resting it against rubber cushions. This way, it provides the tom with stability without muffling it. This attractively priced mounting system allows for a great sound!

In principe is dit een mooi systeem, maar wat niet bij de informatie staat, is dat deze OptiMount alleen past op toms met 8 lugs, en niet op toms met 6 lugs, zoals de mijne. Hoewel de diepte wel klopt kan ik het dus niet gebruiken. Denk hierom bij de aanschaf.
