For guitarists seeking something more compact, the slight form of the Yamaha JR2 acoustic guitar offers great comfort, sparkling sound, and FG-Series build quality. While the smaller 3/4-sized body of this steel-string guitar is perfect for travelling musicians, the sound still packs plenty of presence thanks to full and detailed projection of the spruce soundboard.
The Yamaha JR2 Acoustic Guitar: Compact & Stylish
The sides and back of the JR2 have been made from mahogany finished in UTF, meaning Ultra Thin Film, giving this model an excellent look, while the rosewood fretboard adds a sweet dose of warmth to the overall sound. In terms of playing comfort, the back of the neck has been coated in matte satin-gloss for a smooth and gliding feel in the palm of the hand, and while this is the perfect travel guitar, it will feel just as comfortable in the hands of any younger students. The JR2 acoustic guitar comes complete with a gig bag.
