This pack of .060 - .130 gauged Galli KA-BASS-4FW bass ukulele strings have been flat-wound, giving a four-string bass uke or U-Bass the old-school, round and warm sound of high-pitched double bass. Wrote the following about Galli Strings KA-BASS-4FW Flatwound Bass Ukulele Strings

Ik heb deze snaren aangeschaft voor een goedkope fretloze Bas Ukelele. Het geluid is prachtig, diep maar ook helder. Enigszins metalig. Ze voelen ook fijn aan. De vingers van de linkerhand glijden er prettig overheen. Enig nadeel t.o.v. de originele (rubberachtige) snaren is dat je meer kracht moet zetten met de linkerhand omdat de actie blijkbaar hoger is dan met de originele snaren. Misschien moet ik het zadel verlagen? Wellicht went het nog, maar de kracht in mijn handen/vingers gaat er niet op vooruit... Toch ben ik blij met deze snaren. Ik ga zeker nog wat (laten) sleutelen aan deze bas.
Ze werden overigens heel snel en netjes bezorgd (brievenbuspakketje). Top service!

Mooi diep geluid. Niet vals zoals die rubberen snaren. Niet zo blikkerig als de roundwounds. De stoffen winding van de E loopt net over de kam op mijn elektrische u-bass, maar qua geluid hoor ik daar niks van. Anders had ik dat een stukje eraf gehaald. Maar nu niet nodig. De rest paste normaal op mijn mahalo. Erg duur, maar ik vind het het geld waard.
