General

This is the Galli KA-BASS-5FW set. This is a .048 - .130 flatwound string set, intended for a 5-string bass ukulele or a 5-String U-Bass. The synthetic core wire is wound with a flat chrome-plated winding. This provides even, warm bass sound with tonal character reminiscent of a double bass. These sharpened strings also give your 5-string bass euphonium a stable intonation as you smoothly perform your bass parts. Higher tension makes it quick and easy to find your way while playing.

Wrote the following about Galli Strings KA-BASS-5FW Flatwound Strings for 5-String Bass Ukulele

Bought these strings to fit on a Musoo 5 string ukulele bass; at the moment I have them tuned from B to G instead of E to C and they're working well. The strings feel amazing, smoother than D'Addario Chromes which I normally use on my fretless basses and made a big difference over the polyurethane strings that were being used before. They are not cheap, but they're quality strings and feel like they'll last quite a while. Highly recommended and I'd buy them again!
