General

The soprano ukulele is the smallest in the ukulele family, that is why Fender have named this Ukulele U'Uku, after the Hawaiian word for 'small'. Despite its size, this instrument has a great sound that it owes to its full-mahogany construction and a braced top for more clarity and punch. Its high-tuned, bright tones are characteristic to traditional Hawaiian music. The instrument receives increased attention among pop musicians with the help of Jake Shimabukuro, who had a sensational Youtube hit, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'.

About the ukulele

The Hawaiians have given the instrument the moniker 'jumping flea', not a very charming name for an instrument that is so much fun to play. It were Portuguese immigrants that first brought the machete (the ukulele's predecessor) to Hawaii, where it became the ukulele we know and love today. The ukulele is a valuable ingredient for any large arrangement, as it clearly cuts through the mix. This small instrument has great potential!

Fender Ukulele U\'Uku Soprano natural

This is a superb little instrument, bought for my daughter's birthday recently. I was guided by the online reviews before I purchased this and I certainly wasn't disappointed. It sounds fantastic and really looks the part, it is a very nice quality all round. I searched the Internet for a good couple of weeks before I bought this and Bax was the best price I could find! Incredibly pleased with my purchase and would certainly buy again!

Fender Ukulele U\'Uku Soprano natural

Een erg mooi afgewerkte ukulele waar een fijn geluid met goed bereik in zit. Hij is goed te stemmen en blijft ook lang in tune. Een mooi instrument voor een mooi prijsje en met een goede service. Ik ben tevreden!
