Flight Iris Concert Ukulele Dark Blue with Gig Bag

Very happy customer (and my expectations are perhaps quite high). I received a B-stock model at a knock-down price. I'm a Flight Iris fan so I also have a baritone version which is more fun somehow, really bringing out the sound of that spruce top and resonance in the bass more than the concert version can manage. This Flight Iris concert version has, however, become my preferred concert ukulele (over the Kala KA-CEMB). It has a richer sound about it than the duller, more traditional mahogany of many ukes in this price range. The Flight Iris is certainly a looker with a rich beautiful finish to the headstock and a striking but gentle blue tone to the soundboard. I really don't like the bright, mottled pickguard. You have to be careful but these are removable and I have carefully peeled my pickguard off. Very elegant Der Jung geared tuners but they don't turn very smoothly on my instrument. I still have to tune up quite frequently. If you are drawn to the Flight Iris it is a beauty, as fetching in real life as in the pictures. This concert uke has a bright, rich sound with a little bass. It's smooth and plays with feeling. Overall, a very pretty and sensitive ukulele for (at £115) a reasonable price.
