General

Mahogany sounds warm, full and direct. Not too sharp, not too soft, but exactly that balanced middle that looks good on a concert ukulele. The Flight Iris Tinta Concert ukulele builds on this: an all-solid mahogany ukulele where the beautiful wood grain shines through the glossy natural lacquer. The result is an instrument that subtly stands out, but when played lets you know there's more to it than just its looks. You get a 15mm padded gig bag included, plus an instruction booklet and a sticker set!

Stylish details that make a difference

The slotted headstock looks striking as well as making the headstock lighter, which adds to the ukulele's balance. The whole thing is finished off with an acrylic rosette and specially placed position markings on the rosewood fingerboard. Playing on the okoume neck of the Iris Tinta Concert feels so comfortable and uncluttered! The fluorocarbon strings give a bright, projected sound that nicely complements the warm sound of the mahogany. And where with some ukuleles you have to deal with the choice of plastic as the material for the saddle and nut, these are made of bone, which gives the sound and resonance another subtle boost. The Iris Tinta is a concert ukulele that not only looks good, but is also built to quality and plays nicely!
