General
With the Rock Series Mini Bass Ukulele, Flight launch a style-packed electric bass ukulele that boasts a solid mahogany body topped with quilted maple. Thanks to its short 20" scale length and humble body, this model is perfect for bassists with smaller hands as well as for musicians who can't do without an instrument while they're on holiday. This bass uke comes in standard tuning (EADG) and pre-fitted with .045 to .105 strings. A deluxe gig bag is thrown in so you can safely take it on a trip.
The Mini Bass Ukulele: Full Sound
Mounted in a staggered configuration, the pair of Alnico 5 P-style pickups guarantee a full and fully versatile foundation sound, where both the treble and bass strings shape spot-on sound. In addition, Flight have opted for a stable roasted maple neck, a rosewood fretboard and a 40mm-wide bone nut, confirming that the Mini Bass Ukulele is intended as nothing less than a serious instrument for serious musicians.

I had been looking for this Ukulele since I saw a review by Ukulele Wales in July last year,but supplies were scarce. When BAX advertised them in February, I just had to have one, so ordered the last one! It arrived very well packed, within a couple of working days.
The instrument is beautiful well made, and sounds amazing (played through my Blackstar amp). A quality instrument at a good price.

Drie sterren vanwege de slechte afstelling van de Mini Bass Ukulele. Eigenlijk was het instrument onbespeelbaar. De actie was veel te hoog en de intonatie was hopeloos, een halve toon te hoog op de 12e fret. Voor mij met 40 jaar ervaring met het afstellen en repareren van gitaren was dit op te lossen, maar voor iemand met minder ervaring of een beginner is dit een serieus probleem wat naar mijn mening een aandachtspunt moet zijn voor de Bax shop. Dit om te voorkomen dat dit het zoveelste instrument is dat op Marktplaats beland met als reden 'wegens gebrek aan talent' of 'mijn kind heeft er geen zin meer in'. Na afstelling een prettig bespeelbaar instrument wat goed is voor jarenlang speelplezier.
