General

As a rare, uniquely beautiful and warm-sounding type of wood, koa is always in high demand and outrageously popular among instrument builders. Acacia koa trees only grow on Hawaii and to protect them, only dead and sick trees may be chopped down and harvested for precious koa. The slim, thin-line body of the Kala KA-KTU-C is made entirely of this stunning wood and as such, boasts a look and sound of its own. The wood grain has been kept nicely visible and can be seen through the satin finish. In addition, this concert uke has a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard with 18 frets, and comes finished with Graph Tech Ratio tuners and pre-installed D'Addario Clear Nylon strings. Custom Deluxe gig bag included.
