The Kala Voyage Collection Unity Mahogany Tenor Ukulele is an expressive instrument that naturally combines tradition, symbolism and modern design. The top features an artistic laser engraving by Maori artist Sam Mangakahia. His design, Unity, symbolises togetherness, harmony and cooperation, values that perfectly suit the unifying power of music and Hawaiian traditions. This ukulele is made entirely of mahogany, which wood provides a rich, warm sound and a beautifully balanced resonance. The natural tone and markings of the wood are further emphasised by the satin finish, which provides a refined, elegant look.
Dynamics and harmony
The tenor size offers extra playing space on the fingerboard and provides a deeper, more powerful sound with plenty of dynamics. As a result, this ukulele comes into its own in both solo work and ensemble playing. The Aquila Super Nylgut strings deliver a clear tone and stable tuning, even when used intensively.
