General

The Peli™ 1607 is an uber-secure and super solid touring buddy. The light but incredibly strong materials used to build this case offer your sensitive and expensive gear optimal protection against the rigours of the road. The polymer shell is shock, impact, dust, and water proof - among other things, and an automatic air valve has also been integrated to ensure that air is freely circulated while any atmospheric pressure shifts leave the case unaffected. So, you're totally assured that the lid will not get wedged shut by the time you land after a long flight. This case is also 40% lighter than other Peli-made examples and comes fitted with wheels and a trolley-style retractable handle to make your life easier, while your equipment is safely tucked up inside the foam-lined interior.

Wrote the following about Peli 1607 Air Case with Foam, 535 x 402 x 295mm

It may have been listed as B grade but the detailed description and photos made clear it was just the outer box which was damaged, not the Peli. When it arrived it was exactly as described and the case itself completely as new. A real bargain!
Purchasers should note that the 1607 is slightly narrower inside on the smallest dimension than the measurements suggest, as they include the very widest spot into a recess not affected by the reduction caused by the extendible handle mechanism. Still just enough for me inside but if you are very tight on measurements consider the next size up.
The whole purchase process was excellent too, fast, clear and efficient. I am a happy Bax customer!
