General
The Devine SM-100 condenser instrument microphone is ideal for recording acoustic instruments such as guitars and pianos, but can also be used as an overhead microphone to record a choir, drums or other percussion instruments. It comes complete with a microphone clip, a windscreen and a carrying pouch.
Phantom Power
The Devine SM-100 is equipped with a high-quality 16mm capsule and, like all condenser microphones, requires phantom power, which can be provided by a capable mixer or audio interface, but if that's available, an external phantom power supply can be hooked up. The SM-100 features a high sensitivity and low self-noise, which means it delivers high-quality recordings that reproduce the original sound source in remarkable detail - ideal for recording acoustic instruments.

Super goeie microfoon.
Wij gebruiken deze microfoon in combinatie met 40 meter xlr van de microfoon naar de mixer toe. En dan donderen we deze microfoon van devine uit het raam om buitengeluiden op te nemen.
Waarom we dat leuk vinden? Geen idee. We hebben wel vanuit de zolderkamer een andere auto laten toeteren voor die microfoon dus dat was wel grappig

I got two for recording my piano and am so happy with the sound, it's warm and of good volume and just beautiful. I'd tried recording piano with an SM57 before but it was not the sound I was looking for. You get a really good microphone for a very low price.

Gezien de prijs een hele behoorlijke microfoon. Natuurlijk zijn er betere te krijgen maar daar hoort een bijpassend prijskaartje bij. Voor studio opnames zijn ze m.i. niet geschikt (o.a. omdat ze niet erg "stil" zijn). Maar de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is zeer gunstig

Tot nu toe 1x gebruikt, maar ze klinken heel goed.
Ze ontvangen het geluid van de koor heel goed.
Je moet alleen goed inzicht hebben hoe in te stellen op het mengpaneel, dan heb je een goed microfoon.
De kwaliteit lijkt goed en stevig te zijn. De tas is een leuke toevoeging om de microfoon op te bergen.

Prima microfoon voor een goede prijs!
Ik ben organist, en moet vaak koren begeleiden in grotere kerken.
Met deze microfoon op een statiefje vóór het koor, kun je (met behulp van een kabel en monitorluidspreker bij de speeltafel) prima horen wat het koor doet. Duidelijk geluid, de microfoon vangt alles op. Afgelopen weekend een evensong begeleid, het is dan een must om 'gelijk te zijn'. Dat lukte perfect met deze microfoon!
Ze kunnen ook tegen een stootje, heb ik gelijk bij het eerste gebruik al gemerkt... (oeps)
Eén van de mics is langs een trap naar beneden gegleden, en heeft een beste stuiter gemaakt. De metalen cap heeft een extra 'frame' zodat je niet gelijk het fragiele gedeelte beschadigt. Alles werkt nog prima!

De SM-100 van Devine, is een microfoon waar je in eerste instantie niet zo heel veel van verwacht, gezien de aanschaf prijs.
Nu daar heb ik mij grandioos op verkeken. Ik heb ze uitgebreid getest samen met mijn Tascam DR-40, ook een apparaat bij Bax aangeschaft en al een aantal jaren, tot volle tevredenheid in gebruik. Het zijn super microfoons voor de prijs wat je er voor betaald. Klein en compact en zeer degelijk. Ook is de gevoeligheid ruimschoots aanwezig met een goede frequentie bereik met geen waarneembare ruis. Het is dan ook een aanrader!
