The SKB iSeries 3i-2217-8DL is a heavy-duty hard case designed for the safe transport and storage of sensitive equipment. The case is injection-moulded and made from ultra-high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, making it highly resistant to rough handling. Thanks to its gasket-sealed construction, it is water- and dust-tight and can even be submerged in accordance with MIL-STD 810H. With generous internal dimensions (55.88 x 43.18 x 20.0 cm), there is plenty of space for all sorts of gear that you want to protect reliably.

Built for tough conditions

This case has been developed with MIL-standard protection in mind. It is resistant to corrosion and impact damage and can also withstand external influences such as UV, solvents and mould (MIL-STD 810H). It remains operational even in fluctuating temperatures: from -56.11 °C to 82.22 °C. Handy if you often work on location, stack cases in transport crates or take your equipment to challenging environments where an ordinary case falls short.

Practical details for everyday use

SKB equips this iSeries hard case with smart features such as a moulded-in hinge and padlock loops, so you can secure it properly. The Trigger Latch® System ensures a secure closure that is still quick to open. The snap-down rubber over-moulded cushion grip handle sits comfortably in the hand whilst lifting. There is also an automatic ambient pressure equalisation valve (MIL-STD 810H), so that pressure differences cause less hassle. This model does not have built-in wheels or castors.
