The Apogee HypeMiC USB microphone is an all-in-one vocal solution that already comes with integrated analogue compression, alongside impeccable Apogee quality. Three compression modes are controlled by a fitted three-way switch and although it sounds simple, this switch offers a setting that's guaranteed to fatten up the sound of every thinkable instrument or vocal performance. It's this and the maximum resolution of 24bit/96 KHz that makes the HypeMiC so capable of producing studio-quality recordings. The included tabletop-stand, pop-shield and case also help.

Wrote the following about Apogee HypeMiC USB Microphone with Compressor

Voor een klant (prof. voice-over) deze microfoon besteld. Opstellen en aansluiten gaat prima. Ook de geluidskwaliteit is goed. De ingebouwde compressor is een pluspunt. Wij vonden stand 1 (beetje 'shaping') prettig: het klinkt op de hoofdtelefoon meteen lekkerder tijdens het inspreken, en de hoeveelheid compressie zit bij het mixen niet in de weg.
De microfoon wordt door Windows, Mac en iOS probleemloos herkend. Een nadeel (dit ligt niet direct aan de microfoon) is dat de gain-instelling die je met de draaiknop op de HypeMic maakt in Windows (11) niet wordt overgenomen (bij Mac en iOS wel). Zodra je stopt en weer verder gaat springt de gain weer naar de laagste stand. Dit is echter op te lossen met de geluidsinstellingen in Windows (config. scherm > Geluid > Opname > HypeMic > Niveau. Daar de fader op b.v. 90 zetten en dan wordt dit onthouden.
Al met al tevreden.
