General
The ELS BDF-25 bow is specially designed for standard-sized double basses. This is a French bow, which means that it is held from the top, ensuring a controlled and precise playing technique. French bows are usually a bit shorter and heavier than German models, which contributes to their unique playing feel. This bow has an octagonal shape, which provides extra strength and allows for a better grip while playing. The slipper, the part of the bow where the horsehair is attached, is made of ebony. This hard, durable wood is ideal for its longevity and stability. In addition, the mount of this ELS BDF-25 bow is made of nickel, which not only provides a stylish finish, but also protects against wear and corrosion. This makes the bow a durable and reliable choice for double bass players. This bow is intended for a 3/4-sized double bass.
