With their BLX1288-MX53 wireless combo system, Shure offers a complete package: in addition to a wireless BLX88 dual receiver and a BLX1 bodypack transmitter, you'll also receive a wireless SM58 microphone and an MX153 earset microphone. For a very reasonable price, you get a comprehensive, professional setup.

A Modern Classic

The SM58 is a classic among microphones. This no-nonsense mic always delivers an outstanding performance, and operating it is a piece of cake. No wonder it's found on stages all over the world. Shure's BLX1288/MX53 system includes the wireless version of the SM58, which features the same head, but mounted instead on a wireless transmitter. Syncing the transmitter and the receiver is easy. The latter's QuickScan function automatically selects an available frequency, so all you have to do it is enter that same frequency into the transmitter.

MX153 Earset Microphone

In addition to the wireless SM58, Shure presents you with an MX153 earset with a tan finish. Its flexible construction is attached around your ear, and can be worn on either the left or the right side of your head. The MX153 has an inconspicuous design that can be discreetly positioned right next to your mouth. Thanks to its omnidirectional pickup pattern, the microphone accurately captures your voice, but doesn't register background noise.
