When does wireless DMX get useful? When you've got a row of maybe eight LED spotlights linked and suspended over the stage, by setting up the first DMX-fixture in the chain with a wireless receiver, and your desk with a wireless transmitter, you can avoid bridging the 20-metre gap between the stage and the lighting desk with a cable, leaving you with a cleaner, more reliable setup. For exactly this reason, Chauvet DJ present the matched D-Fi XLR RX receiver and D-Fi XLR TX transmitter, and since they're both no bigger than your thumb, they make up a tight and simple wireless DMX system. This is the D-Fi XLR TX transmitter.
