General
The Samson AirLine 77 Guitar System is a compact transmitter that can be plugged directly into your guitar. This right angle version is fit for most guitars with a side-mounted jack connector and transmits its signal to the accessory receiver on frequency 863.125 MHz (called E1 by Samson). The AG1 transmitter of the Samson AirLine 77 Guitar System can be powered for 14 hours by a single AAA battery.
The receiver of the Airline 77 Guitar System
Together, the AG1 transmitter and the rack-mountable CR77 receiver ensure very reliable transmissions. Connect the receiver to your mixer or active speaker, for instance, via the XLR or 6.3mm output. The CR77 adheres to the true diversity principle, which means that it always selects the most powerful signal. Adjust the output volume with the volume knob and suppress interference with the squelch mode.
Tips or comments about this product- Please note: this system operates on a fixed UHF frequency of 863.125 MHz (Samson have labelled this frequency as E1). If you are using multiple systems simultaneously, these all need to transmit on their own frequency. For Airline systems, you can choose between E1, E2, E3 and E4.
- This system is compatible with the connection found on Gibson®, Jackson® and Ibanez® guitars.

De Stingray heeft een hele hoge output en daar heeft de Airline helaas moeite mee. Het input signaal moest helemaal teruggedraaid worden om oversturen te voorkomen. Daardoor moest het mastervolume van m'n versterker juist veel verder open met het gevolg dat het ruisniveau enorm omhoog ging en de geluidskwaliteit niet meer om over naar huis te schrijven was.
Erg jammer want het is een heel praktisch ding, vooral de zender in plugvorm, dus zonder beltpack, is heerlijk compact en doet heel lang met 1 AAA batterij. De ontvanger had ik ingebouwd in m'n 19"rack en zat ook keurig opgeborgen. Beetje jammer van de investering aangezien ik nu overga op een digitale Line-6,,,
Op zich is het een prima apparaat , zolang je niet met een high-end (bas)gitaar aankomt. Ik heb verder ook nog een actieve Ibanez Soundgear en die ging prima, net als m'n passieve Fenders. Dus zolang je output een beetje binnen de perken blijft kan ik hem zeker aanraden!
