Do you need to amplify two guitars in a situation where the use of cables is not practical? AKG have a reliable and compact solution for you: the WMS40 Mini2 Dual system. It consists of two bodypacks with adapter cables for instruments and a two-channel receiver. As the receiver is nicely compact, the set can be transported effortlessly in a carrying bag or case. The bodypacks are also equipped with a mini XLR connector, allowing you to connect an AKG headset or tie-clip microphone. Endless possibilities are provided by this compact and affordable system.

The bodypack transmitters of the WMS40 Mini2 Dual Instrument microphone set are made to last, before, during and after gigs. The receivers can be powered for up to 30 hours with a single AA battery! This is more than enough for a serious gig including extensive soundchecks! The bodypacks are equipped with a mini XLR connector and are delivered including an adapter cable to a jack plug connector. Thanks to these mini XLR connectors, AKG headset and tie-clip microphones can be connected effortlessly, making this system very multifunctional.
WMS40 Mini2 Dual receiver
The double receiver of the entire system is very compact and it therefore takes up little space during your performance. Still, AKG have managed to pack it with a lot of high-quality technology. The entire system works with HDAP technology, which allows for very precise A/D and D/A signal conversions. Every channel is equipped with a volume control as well as a clip limiter, transmission strength indicator and a balanced output per channel. What more could you want?

This product exceeds expectation. Easy to use (even without referring to the instructions), supplied with batteries, and works like a dream.
I bought this for two reasons: so bass and other instruments (mandolin/steel guitar etc) could go through the same amp and be used at the same time and also to solve earth hum issues.
The sound was (dare I say) better than before! With the internal trim pot, an excellent s/n ratio was achieved and no one tripped up over any leads!
Quality at an excellent price.
I bought this for two reasons: so bass and other instruments (mandolin/steel guitar etc) could go through the same amp and be used at the same time and also to solve earth hum issues.

Een heel handig ding. Gewoon inpluggen en spelen. Desgewenst het volume op de zender een beetje bijstellen als er oversturing mocht zijn.
Ik heb dit apparaatje gekocht omdat we met een snoer altijd op een of andere manier signalen (brom en geknetter) oppakken. Ik heb al diverse manieren van aarden en verschillende snoeren geprobeerd, uit verschillende kwaliteitsklassen. En er was altijd wel wat.
Nu is het opeens een stuk rustiger in de stille stukken.
En door de tweede zender kunnen we of samen spelen, of een tweede gitaar pakken zonder over te pluggen. Puik ding! Met vaste kanalen, da's handig, want je zit nooit fout, maar het zou ook een beperking kunenn zijn in een andere omgeving dan thuis.

Super snel binnen. Direct in gebruik genomen en verbaasd over de uitstekende kwaliteit. Thuis en in de oefenruimte gebruikt. In de oefenruimte een goede test doorstaan met twee gitaristen op verschillende versterkers. Wat een uitkomst 1 ontvanger met 2 zenders en 2 gescheiden kanalen. Zeer stevige ontvanger in overwegend metalen behuizing. De zenders zijn heel compact wat erg fijn is aan je gitaar band. Enige aandachtspunt is de connector van de voeding, deze gaat vrij makkelijk uit de ontvanger. Even opletten dat deze er goed en volledig ingedrukt is om los raken te voorkomen.

Net binnengekomen en al meteen met onze zangers geprobeerd.
Wij hadden al de handmicrofoonversie van dit mini-setje en wilde ook headsets. De ontvangers hadden we dus al en wilden nu de beltpacks los bestellen. De headsets (mics) hadden we ook al van een ander merk. Via een verloopje van Sennheiser mics naar AKG beltpacks (besteld bij Thomann.de want niet verkrijgbaar bij Bax) passen onze mics op deze beltpacks.
De beltpacks waren niet los te bestellen, dus maar weer de hele set, incl. ontvangers besteld, maar het geheel is zo goedkoop dat we dat maar hebben gedaan.
Het resultaat is... schitterend!
Superlicht setje, prima afstand beltpack tot ontvanger, één batterijtje, prachtig geluid, ruis verwaarloosbaar.
Beperkt tot drie frequenties tegelijkertijd, dus kochten we de Tetrad van AKG erbij voor vier tot acht extra beltpacks op 2.4 gH. Bij Thomann.de weliswaar want Bax doet dat setje niet.

surpris en bien. Mes deux basses ont chacune leur émetteur ,les deux sorties branchées en Y (trois jacks 6,35 mono ) sur le pédalier boss et tout va super bien: pas de parasite ni ronflement. chaque émetteur possède un commutateur "mute" et "stop".je change de basse:j'allume et j'éteins alternativement et tout va bien. les deux basses ensembles ça marche aussi mais c'est pas le but. j'ai essayé ma basse sur l'entrée 1 raccordée à l'ampli basse, mon pote guitariste s'est branché sur l'entrée 2 raccordée à son ampli et c'est nickel (c'est ça aussi le partage ! ) il va du coup commander un AKG simple ou double.

Echt fantatsisch super compact.
Ik zocht oplossing voor heel compact optreden en toch draadloos. Ik heb zelf set met sennheisers helemaal mooi ingebouwd maar is soms wat lastig voor bijv. even ergens buiten spelen etc.
Dit is helemaal mooi. Klein kastje op je versterker 2 x jack naar je versterker en spelen maar.
Let op: dit setje werkt met mini xlr ik kon dus niet mijn gewone senieler headset gebruiken met mini jack en heb apart nog de AKG C544 L headset gekocht maar werkt perfect en klinkt goed.
Verder is kwaliteit wel beetje plastic maar ja voor heel weinig geld heb je goed werkend heel compact systeem en kan ik gewoon draadloos zingen en gitaar spelen.
Ben er heel erg blij mee!

1- Hoe fijn, twee gitaren voorzien van zender en dan zonder alle clutter van kabels spelen en wisselen.
2- Absoluut geen vertraging!
3- Enz etc. voor het geld meer dan de moeite waard.
Tip, als je niet met een band speelt, ik heb van een oude versleten gitaarband alleen de dikke bevestigingspunten afgeknipt en daar de zenders op geklemd, de kabels bij elkaar gebonden en klaar en makkelijk op te bergen.
2- Absoluut geen vertraging!
3- Enz etc. voor het geld meer dan de moeite waard.
Tip, als je niet met een band speelt, ik heb van een oude versleten gitaarband alleen de dikke bevestigingspunten afgeknipt en daar de zenders op geklemd, de kabels bij elkaar gebonden en klaar en makkelijk op te bergen.

Ik herken mij niet in de vorige review. Ik vind de AKG WMS 40 Mini2 Dual zeer functioneel en echt waar voor je geld. Natuurlijk geen toeters en bellen, maar doet wat het moet doen.
Ik heb de set gebruikt voor het draadloos uitversterken van mijn electronische accordeon Roland FR-1x en de AKG headset C555L. De zendertjes zijn super licht en compact. Het bereik is zeker niet slecht. Ik heb buiten een gebouw gestaan op zo'n 100 meter en binnen stond de ontvanger: en geen probleem.
Lekker simpel. Uitpakken, aansluiten en werken.
Ik heb de set gebruikt voor het draadloos uitversterken van mijn electronische accordeon Roland FR-1x en de AKG headset C555L. De zendertjes zijn super licht en compact. Het bereik is zeker niet slecht. Ik heb buiten een gebouw gestaan op zo'n 100 meter en binnen stond de ontvanger: en geen probleem.
Lekker simpel. Uitpakken, aansluiten en werken.
