As Electro-Voice say, the EVM12L Classic is the best guitar speaker in the world. Built to last and made for lead guitarists, this 12-inch model has an RMS power capacity of 200 Watts at 8 Ohms. From clean to all-out distortion, this speaker projects sound with ultra-precision thanks to its guitar-specific 80 to 5,000 Hz frequency range, and can be fitted inside any 1, 2 or 4-speaker cab.

Ik heb veel vergelijkingsmateriaal aan speakers en kom altijd weer terug op de EVM12L. Een palet van precies alle frequenties die je van een gitaar wilt horen. Geen pijnlijke schelle hoge tonen. Alle gebieden zijn prettig om naar te luisteren. Ook belangrijk is dat je lang naar de speaker kan luisteren zonder dat bepaalde frequenties je gaan storen.
Een speaker met een hoge sensitivity waardoor je ook op laag volume, de dynamiek en karakteristiek van de speaker behoud.
In zowel de Thiele als in het open cabinet klinken ze geweldig! Het open cabinet heeft iets meer ambiance door de 'backsound' (vergelijkbaar met het backlight van een TV) en het Thiele cabinet is directer (persoonlijk vind ik dat prettiger op de buhne).
Twijfel je als muzikant of zelfs als fabrikant of je wel de juiste sound kan maken? Zet er een EVM12L in, dan zit je altijd goed!
