Whether it's pop-pilates, zumba, or classic aerobics, if you're leading a class through their work-out, you don't just need a thumping beat to get them through, but you need to make sure they can hear every word you say. Luckily, there's a bit of kit that can do both for you. The NewHank Aerobix XL is a bigger version of the NewHank Aurobix rackmixer, and since it's been built with large-scale gyms in mind, gives you a little bit more. Hook up two microphones via either jack or XLR, and then connect up to four audio sources using the set of three RCA inputs around the back and the single 3.5mm mini-jack input on the front. Activate the ducking function (which is usefully adjustable per microphone) and as soon as the system detects speech, the music will be very slightly lowered, so that your voice can be heard clearly. For even deeper control and clarity, an independent equaliser section has been provided for both the music and the connected microphones.
