DAP Audio make mixing life easy for you with the DAP Compact 8.1. It is an easy-to-use unit, but it is highly efficient: this rack-mountable mixer has 8 combined XLR/RCA inputs at the rear. Connect eight microphones or a number of mics in combination with various media players (like DVD and CD players). The clear layout at the front lets you easily control the volume of each input. Here you can also select the input type (XLR or RCA), switch on a low-cut (for the suppression of interfering low frequencies) and switch on phantom power for condenser microphones.

The mix of the Compact 8.1

The mix is sent to your amplifier or active speakers via the XLR outputs of the Compact 8.1. With the master controls you can adjust the volume and sound to the acoustics of the room via the 3-band EQ. This EQ can also really come in handy if you want to prevent feedback from occurring. Headphones can be connected to the 3.5mm input at the front, where you can also adjust the volume individually. The monitor output (RCA) also responds to this volume knob, so that this output can also be used for an independent signal to a second room.
