General
The Empirical Labs DerrEsser de-esser has a unique design that works independently of the input vineau. This transparently attenuates 'S' sounds in both hard and soft passages. Actually, the DerrEsser is much more than just a de-esser. You can also use it as a highly transparent limiter, rounding off only high frequencies. Very effective on drum overheads and overdriven guitars. By the way, the filters used for this are so good that you can also just use this unit as a high pass or low pass filter.
