Like its siblings, the D558-4 supports everything from home practice to all-out live shows and even comes with a cutaway for increased playing comfort and eased access to the highest frets.

The light spruce top combines beautifully with the dark-brown walnut body and mahogany neck, while the pau ferro fretboard has been polished off with a Roman numeral position marker at the 12th fret, completing an elegant four-string acoustic bass that can be tuned up on the spot thanks to the built-in tuner of the Ortega MagusPRO/B preamp.
