This instrument is an acoustic bass guitar from Takamine's G series, a series known for its very high quality at a very attractive price. This GB72CE-BSB is the Sunburst version of the luxury Jumbo bass, featuring a solid top-construction with sides and a back made of flamed maple. Other luxury characteristics are an elegant white binding along the neck and headstock, gold-plated self-lubricating tuners and a maple neck. As such, the Takamine GB72CE-BSB produces a very powerful, clear sound.

< The bright, clear sound of the maple is beautifully complemented with the warmth and rich mids of the solid spruce top. Because the GB72C has a jumbo-sized body, it produces a full, robust sound with excellent acoustical volume. Moreover, the dovetail neck joint doesn't only increase the sturdiness of the construction, it also improves the general resonance of the instrument. Other details are a graceful mother-of-pearl rosette and a complete classic brown sunburst lacquer.

TK-40B Preamp with On-Board Tuner

The electrical part of the GB72CE-BSB consists of a built-in pickup and Takamine's versatile TK-40B preamplifier. You get a gain knob for the volume, a 3-band EQ with bypass function plus a bass boost for accentuating the bass sound. You also have a 400 Hz to 2 kHz Mid Shift function and a battery check at your disposal. The icing on the cake is the built-in chromatic tuner with LED display, which allows you to tune your bass at the darkest of stages.
