The AER XL is the powerhouse combo from AER's Compact Series, boasting an impressive 120 Watts of power. That's double the amount his little brother has! Despite its two-way speaker configuration with an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, this amp combo is still nicely compact in size and the go-to for many professional (street) musicians. Master guitarist Tommy Emanuel has been sticking with AER amps for years as his weapon of choice. The XL features two channels, one of which has phantom power to plug a condenser mic into but also allows singer-songwriters to amplify vocals, guitar or both.

AER Compact XL: The biggest brother in a compact family

Both channels come with a 3-band EQ to shape your sound with. In addition, you've got two types of reverb (short and long) and two types of delay (fast and slow) at your disposal with the AER Compact XL. Use the connectors on the back to hook it up to a PA system or to add an effects loop, tuner, footswitch or headphones. The option to plug in a pair of headphones will prove quite practical when you want to practise late at night without risking a fight with the neighbours.
