The Framus 05/024 Vintage Hootenanny 6-String Tinted Satin is a handsome acoustic guitar that shapes the clear, powerful and sustain-rich sound of a solid spruce soundboard and a solid sapele body. One of the biggest European guitar-builders back in the sixties, Framus (who used to be endorsed by none other than John Lennon) has polished off this compact, round-shoulder dreadnought with a trapezium tailpiece, a copper Framus logo inlay, and a curved black pickguard. So you can change up the look, this guitar also comes with an extra synthetic tortoiseshell pickguard.

Zero Fret

The set neck of the 05/024 has been made from solid mahogany and features a completely flat rosewood fretboard with a special perk: a zero fret that promotes consistent action for improved intonation but also supports extra-low action. Thanks to the zero fret, all the 44mm-wide nut has to take care of is the string spacing, making it easier to use differently gauged strings. Also, with a zero fret, the strings sound the same whether they're open or fretted.
