The Guild D-140 dreadnought is part of the brand's Westerly Collection; a series of guitars made using only solid wood for a remarkably rich and considerable sound projection. The Westerly Collection D-140: Balanced Sound

Since it's the most important ingredient for a balanced mix of steel-string brightness and depth, Guild skilfully made the body of the D-140 using a solid spruce top and a mahogany back and sides. Granted, a brilliant sound deserves brilliant looks, which is why the top genuinely overflows with opulent details such as a natural-finished resonance chamber with a black and ivory-coloured purfling, an ivory-coloured binding and a pearloid sound hole rosette, only to be complemented and completed by a high-gloss lacquered neck.
