This edition of the Yamaha FS800 has the warm and lightly aged look of a tinted lacquer finish and is characterised by the tighter playability of a concert shaped body, which is smaller and more rounded than the FG Series dreadnought. Also, since the 800 Series is the next step up from the 700 Series, this model features the improved feel of a slimmer neck and the more defined bass and mid-frequency projection provided by scalloped interior bracing. What the FS800 retains from the 700 Series is the rich sonic impact of a solid spruce soundboard and that all-important Yamaha-grade quality of build and finish.
