General
The Stentor SR1865A Messina 4/4 acoustic violin is a prime example of traditional craftsmanship. This instrument is part of Stentor’s Pro Series and is entirely handcrafted in England. The violin features a solid spruce top and beautifully flamed, solid maple sides and back. The maple neck blends seamlessly with the rest of the instrument, and all key components, such as the fingerboard and tuning pegs, are crafted from ebony. Careful attention has also been paid to its appearance: the Messina is hand-varnished with authentic shellac, and features the finely inlaid purfling. Thanks to the Pirastro strings fitted, you can immediately expect a clear, professional tone. The violin is delivered ready to play, complete with a chin rest.
