The Yamaha V5SC Stradivarius Violin: An Eye for Detail

Like most violins, the Yamaha V5SC has a spruce soundboard supported by maple sides and a maple back; a construction that shapes a clear and defined tonal foundation as well as outstanding projection and dynamic timbre. What makes the difference in quality here is the exclusively developed oil finish, which has been thinly applied to promote a fast response and clear articulation, while giving this violin a sleek and elegant look.

High-Quality Parts

At its base, the Yamaha V5SC has the same build as the V5SA, but with one very important difference: the addition of a Wittner Ultra tailpiece with four fine tuners. This tailpiece has a significant impact on the string-to-body vibrational transfer as well as the tuning stability. And, as you'd expect of a violin within this price range, the tuning pegs and fingerboard have been made from ebony so you're assured of a smooth playing feel. To finish, the Yamaha V5CA comes pre-strung with a set of D’Addario Prelude violin strings.
