Lightweight
The PRX715XLF owes its light weight of just 25.4 kg to the specially designed, heavy-duty DCD (Dual Coil Drive) woofer as well as an incredibly efficient class-D power amp circuit. Despite its light weight, this subwoofer is able to produce an immensely high continuous output of 1,500 watts. The sub's rectangular housing is made of rugged plywood and covered in JBL's strong Duraflex lacquer. There's a countersunk M20 threaded pole socket on the top for a distance rod to mount a top cabinet on. The grille is made of powder-coated steel and features an acoustically transparent fabric on the inside. Moreover, there's a filter to protect the components from mechanical influences.
