General
You can expect a clear and pure sound with Yamaha's YRA-803 alto recorder. This professional model is made of ebony, a solid, dark wood that gives a beautiful sound. It has a baroque bore and the bottom two holes have a double bore which makes half closures easier. This recorder is made for advanced recorder players, but is also very useful for beginners. Like most alto recorders, it is tuned in F and has an intermediate range. Accessories are included, including a cotton cover and cleaning materials. It is important with wooden models that you take good care of them after you have used them.
