General

The uber-compact, itty-bitty Nano Legacy Mojo Diamond amplifier head is able to mimic the legendary character as well as the tone of the American 'Tweed' amplifiers of old with an astonishing level of detail. Treat your sound to sparkling cleans, tight basses, and a delicious vintage crunch, and while all of this is made possible by a 5 Watt transistor, the sound is still impressive, and the distortion retains musicality, even at maximum volume. The tight build and fitted headphone output make it the perfect practise partner, and since the quality and character of sound is retained at lower volume levels, it's also a great recording amp, or the ideal amp for smaller living room gigs and rehearsals.

Connections & Controls

The Mojo Diamond kits you out with a stripped down set of gain, bass, middle, and treble controls for fully customising your 'Tweed' sound, and the amp responds just as sensitively to tweaks as its larger counterparts so you're assured of deep sonic control. Around the back, you'll find the headphone output alongside an AUX input for hooking up an external audio source, an FX loop send and return port, and an output for a 4 to 16 Ohm cabinet, giving you a broad array of speaker options. Whether you team it up with one of the purpose-designed Nano Legacy speaker cabinets or your go-to 12 inch cabinet, this wee amp completes smooth and easy-going setup.

Onlangs dit "versterkertje" aangeschaft voor thuisgebruik. Ideaal om mee te oefenen thuis, geeft inderdaad op een laagvolume via klein cabinet het gewenste geluid. Wat ik in heel veel reviews mis is het feit dat deze nano serie ook perfect te gebruiken is in een bandsetting. Ik speel normaal met mijn band op een fender blues jr (met optredens natuurlijk met mic naar pa). Met repeteren laat ik voortaan mijn versterker thuis en sluit de nano legacy diamond rechtstreeks aan op de pa. Effecten via de loop en geluid is top. Niet alleen minder gesjouw maar ook rustiger in de repitieruimte daar het geluid nu gelijk gemixed wordt in het totaalgeluid. Had al een zangmomitor en laat daar nu ook wat gitaargeluid op terugkomen. Al met al een prima aankoop waar je praktisch vele kanten mee op kunt. En dat voor dit bedrag.

Geweldig ding deze versterker. Hij wordt bezorgd in formaat schoenendoos verpakking, daar komt een klein doosje uit waarin een nog kleiner doosje zit dat de versterker bevat. Je krijgt er een beetje een mamoeshka gevoel bij.
Aangesloten op de luidspreker krijg je een mooi helder geluid, op vol volume behoudt de versterker zijn kwaliteit. Met gain vol open hoor je best een mooie vervorming, je familie kan beter even een ommetje maken. Ik speel via een Boss ME-70 multi-effect, met de output regel je het volume als een soort voorversterker, waarmee je de vervorming beïnvloedt. De aansluitingen achterop voldoen, de send en return heb ik niet in gebruik. Jammer dat de Hoofdtelefoon aansluiting de speakers niet afsluit. Ik weet ook niet of je de speakers af kunt koppelen bij gebruik van de hoofdtelefoon aansluiting. Wel is het geluid via de koptelefoon prima.
Kortom een heel fijn, "aaibaar" versterkertje met een helder clean geluid

Heerlijk klein versterkertje. Ik gebruik hem via een mengpaneel. En dan via de hoofdtelefoon spelen. Prima rustige versterkter. Heb ook de heart attack, maar die is meer voor de "stevige" gitaarmuziek.
