General

The past has dropped into the present with the Koch Classictone II 20 Watt guitar amp head. Two EL84 tubes in the power amp give this 3-channel amp its ferocious bite while thick compression calm things down with transparent cleans and sparkling overtones. The fat drive can be thickened further by going through the 3-channels and using them as a 3-step boost, secure in the knowledge that the passive tone controls will never muddy your tone.

It's not just the three 12AX7 tubes in the preamp or the pair of EL84 in the power amp that give this amp its authentic vintage stamp but the long-tube reverbtank that processes that real, aged-feeling spring reverb. The master volume can be set to 3 levels so you can enjoy the tube compression of this amp at home, in the studio and on stage.

Built-In Speaker Simulation

Round the back of this modern classic, there's an FX send-return, outputs with auto-matching for an external speaker cabinet, a port for the included two-button footswitch and two DI outputs (jack and XLR) with built-in speaker simulation.

Wrote the following about Koch Classictone II 20-Watt Guitar Amp Head

formidable tête d'ampli, très solide , pas très lourde mais assez volumineuse , aspect très classe tout est vraiment bien construit, couplé à un vox bn 212 on obtient un son clair présent et bien cristal et prend très bien les pédales !!!l'égalisation est efficace et on obtient des sons vraiment différents selon les configurations, il faut chercher néanmoins et ça demande pas trop de temps!! Je l'ai acheté car Paul personne l'utilise pour sa dernière tournée et il délivre des sons vraiment chaleureux grâce à ses lampes EL84, les sons ovredrives sont très vintage et en dehors des pédales , l'overdrive interne et son boost donnent des sons réaistes en cherchant , avec une les paul c'est un régal comme PAUL,avec une télé ça demande plus de recherche!!!seul écueil :j'ai failli le renvoyer car je ne trouvait pas le selecteur d'allumage bien dissimulé derrière l'ampli , en bas à droite dans une des rainures, faut vraiment passer le doigt et chercher

Koch certainly considered both when designing their new classic amplifiers, the Koch Classictone II series! Clearly, they took a look at some iconic tube amps too, as the new series consists of four classic tube amps fitted with EL84 power tubes for a warm sound with awesome overdrive.
