General
This Peavey Invective .120 tube amp head is all about quality. Underneath the bonnet, there are four paired JJ6L6GC power amp tubes and on the rear, you'll find parallel speaker outputs and an impedance selector. What's more, it's equipped with an MSDI-XLR direct-out with controls for level and tone, plus a Ground Lift to keep unwanted noise to a minimum.
Invective .120: comprehensive foot switch
The Invective tube amp head features MIDI out/thru and an input for a MIDI foot switch as well; in fact, it comes complete with a foot switch that has nine presets so you can call up your favourite sounds in a flash. There are two FX loops, both of which can be turned on or off with the foot switch. Should the Invective .120 be too loud, you can literally cut the output in half using the half-power switch that's located on the rear.
Three versatile channels
If you thought the back of this amp head was impressive, then get a load of the front! The Invective .120 has three channels that can be operated via the foot switch: Clean, Crunch and Lead. The Clean channel is especially for a crystal-clear sound and works best in combination with a closed-back cabinet. The Crunch and Lead channels have discrete pre and post gain controls and a shared low/mid/high EQ, just like on the popular Peavey 6505.
