Tube Amp Doctor preamp tube
Product no: 9000-0023-9720
Want a more vintage tone from your modern tube amp? Try this TAD 12AY7/6072A Highgrade preamp tube. It delivers a warm sound with a tight punch in the mid frequencies while still maintaining an open tone. It offers silky-smooth highs with plenty of attack that's responsive to your playing.
This TAD 12AY7/6072A doesn't offer as much output as your 12AX7 tubes, but delivers a more vintage feel. It increases the amount of headroom considerably for a much wider sweet spot, allowing you more control, good definition and a more detailed guitar sound. This preamplifier tube does not need to be matched and can be used in combination with any power amp tube.
