General
After having sold over 50,000 Palladium amplifiers, DAP Audio decided that it was high time to give this series a facelift. The result is the Black Series Palladium. This P-400 stereo PA amplifier is the smallest unit in the series when it comes to power. It has the same specifications as its vintage silver brother, but is black. The P-400 delivers 2x 100 watts of stereo power at 8 ohms and 2x 200 watts at 4 ohms. In bridged mode, if even offers 400 watts of power! This is more than enough for small fixed or mobile audio installations.
Characteristics of the DAP P-400 Black Series
All of this power needs to be managed in a reliable and safe way, of course. Which is why the P-400 amplifier is equipped with security mechanisms against, for instance, short-circuiting and overheating. When it comes to connectors, this unit is also highly complete. It has an XLR as well as TRS jack input per channel. For outputs, the P-400 lets you choose between high-quality lockable speaker connectors or the more traditional wire clamps. This way, you can easily connect nearly any speaker and other sound source.
The proven quality of the Palladium amplifier
Who is not familiar with the DAP Audio Palladium series? Many have grown up around them, many have started their musical career with them and are still working with them. Just like the silver-coloured Vintage Series, the Palladium Black Series consists of seven amplifiers, varying in power from 400 watts to a whopping 2,000 watts! They all have one thing in common: proven quality and an extremely attractive price.
