XLi-2500: Simple to Operate

On the front of the Crown XLi 2500 you will find an on/off switch and a volume control for each channel. On the rear panel are XLR and RCA inputs for connecting a mixer as well as SpeakON and binding post outputs for connecting speakers.

Wrote the following about Crown XLi 2500 Amplifier

Krachtige eindversterker. Hij is zwaar in kilos, maar dan heb je ook wat. Ik heb er een of twee 8 ohm 15 speakerkasten aan hangen, en dat trekt hij gemakkelijk. Ik gebruik 1 ingangskanaal, en daarvoor kun je hem instellen op parallel, de andere opties zijn bridged of stereo. Voorop zit een aan/uitknop, en voor elk uitgangskanaal 3 signaallampjes en een gain-knop. Verder zit er geen poespas op, hij doet gewoon wat hij moet doen.
In de ruimte naast de knoppen zitten roostertjes voor de ventilatie. Die hoor je overigens nauwelijks.

Hij klinkt erg goed, met een lekkere power. Hij kleurt het geluid niet, maar is ook niet kil, hij geeft een helder en toch vol geluid. Ik gebruik hem om mijn contrabas te versterken, en dat klinkt uitstekend en zeer natuurgetrouw (met 15 Gallien Krueger Neo speakers). Ik heb hem in een 19 double door rack case ingebouwd, dat is erg handig en ziet er super uit.

Wrote the following about Crown XLi 2500 Amplifier

Dijk van n versterker die ik gebruik om mijn 2 Subs aan te sturen . 15 "400 Watt rms 800 watt program peak 1600 Watt en SPL 131 in combinatie met de XLI blaast dat behoorlijk hard .
Mooi vol geluid en vooral strak dus geen wollen deken . Iets wat ik erg waardeer , immers hoe strakker het geluid hoe beter de definitie . Ook het vermogen is prima in orde alsmede de bouw van Amp.
Gebruik op topkasten de Crown XLS 602 al jaren en probleemloos .
Vermoed dat de XLI 2500 nog n stap beter is .
Maar net als de Crown , ook Bax weer 100% deze 2 samen een echte aanrader.

Ik heb deze Crown XLi 2500 nu een aantal maanden. Geen moment spijt gehad, genoeg vermogen, weinig tot geen vervorming (heb hem nog niet helemaal opengedraaid, wel tot 3/4).

De volgende zal de 3500 worden.
