General

The Crown XLS 2002 is a 650-Watt PA amplifier and is part of Crown's second generation of DriveCore amps. Compared to its predecessor, the XLS 2002 has received a serious make-over including a new black design and an LCD display that's three times as large. Thanks to Crown's patented DriveCore technology, the amp is able to efficiently deliver up to 2,400 Watts of pure, undistorted sound.

Features

The XLS 2002 weighs less than 5 kg and comes with a more advanced DSP than the XLS 2000. Each channel now has its own bandpass filter and apart from the clip and thermo ones, the LED indicators can be disabled at will since they can be a nuisance in darker surroundings. In addition, the amplifier can be switched off remotely and its new design-fan ensures optimal heat dissipation. All in all, it's a first-rate PA amp that's undoubtedly worth its weight in gold.

Wrote the following about Crown DriveCore XLS 2002 PA Amplifier

Ik heb deze versterker geplaatst in een kledingzaak ter vervanging van een 20jaar oude Denon hifi amp. Omdat de luidsprekers op een van de kanalen een totaal van 2,4Ohm aangaven was ik verplicht een versterker te kiezen die 2Ohm zou aankunnen, wat deze Crown perfect kan. De XLS 2002 heeft zelfs een functie waarmee je het input signaal gevoeliger kan zetten waardoor het gebruik van een voorversterker niet meer nodig was. Met een beetje geluk zal deze Crown, de kledingszaak weer voor 20jaar van geluid kunnen voorzien.
