General
The Harman Crown Audio Drivecore XLS 2502 is a high-performance portable PA system and the successor to the XLS 2500. This PA workhorse weighs less than 5 kg and is equipped with Harman's exclusive DriveCore D-class amplifier, which effortlessly combines high output capacity with low energy consumption.
New Features
Just like the XLS 2500, the second-gen DriveCore XLS 2502 toils tirelessly when it comes to PA work and is suited for a wide range of live-use and fixed installation applications. Unlike its predecessor, the XLR 2502 has a bandpass filter on each channel to allow for more accurate DSP crossover tuning while another new feature is the remote power trigger function, which makes it possible to turn the device on and off from a distance. Since it comes loaded with new features, a new look, and a larger display, it's safe to say the XLS 2502 is a genuinely versatile powerhouse of a PA amp that doesn't bust the bank.

Ben erg tevreden, mijn repeteerruimte is niet optimaal, vermits wij oefenen boven een bedrijfshal, hier hebben we last van veel spanningsvallen en interferentie van de zware maschines.
Sinds dinsdag gebruiken wij nu deze crown ampliefier, en wij waren verbaasd over het resultaat:
Geen brom, geen ruis, geen krakende geluiden meer, onvoorstelbaar.
Onze passieve speakers staan op 4 ohm, uiteraard full range, de amplie heeft een verbazend enorme kracht,zonder de minste moeite, wordt zelfs niet warm ?onze oude amplies zijn van dynacord,de pica 2450 , stonden in bridge modus, maar dit is met onze nieuwe crown zelfs niet nodig, power zat.
Ik vind de prijs kwaliteit verhouding optimaal, veel versterker voor weinig geld, een echte aanrader.

Net gebruikt om 4 subs (2x2, stereo) aan te sturen op een klein event in openlucht, in combinatie met een 1502 voor de tops. Voldoet prima. Vermogen te over en genoeg reserve. Voordeel is ook dat dezer XLS-serie heel licht is (maakt een groot verschil bij transport en opzetten).

Net een tweede XLS 2502 gekocht en zeer blij met het hoge vermogen en de stabiliteit. Fan noise is quasi onhoorbaar waardoor deze versterker prima voor home theatre in de woonkamer kan gebruikt worden.

Tijdens de lockdown van voorjaar 2020 heb ik de Crown XLS 2502 gekocht voor Home Theatre subwoofer thuisgebruik. De inregeling kostte wel een beetje tijd (ruis) maar daarna kreeg ik een verbluffend krachtige sound op mijn dubbele LLT 21". Aardbevingen hebben nog nooit zo overtuigend geklonken en gevoeld. Er komen hier nog 2 van deze versterkers bij zodra de prijzen terug een beetje zakken.

Super sound uit deze Crown amp. Klinkt geweldig en ruim vermogen, pas net in gebruik genomen, instellingen zo gepiept. Alle vertrouwen in langdurig gebruik. Tot zover niets dan lof, zet gelijk een tweede in mijn verlanglijst.
